The biography of Tsongkhapa, composed by the Čaqar gebsi Blo bzang Tshul khrims (1740-1810) in 1791, and printed in the Čaγan aγula süme of the bordered white banner of the Čaqar. The xyl. seems to be identical with the one in Kaschewsky 1971. It includes in chapter tha the summary of Tsongkhapa’s vita, Boγda tsongkhaba-yin gegen-ü namtar-un quriyangγui udq-a, and in chapter da the Boγda tsongkhaba-yin namtar-un jirüken. Chapter da contains in an additional fol. 7, apart from a short Tibetan account of the printing process, the following printing remark at the bottom of the fol.: ene keb nigen mingγan naiman jaγun dalan on-u qaburun segül sarayin sayin edür tegüskejü gülüng naγur-un dačang-un dergedekisü-ün sayin bayišing dotor orošiγulan jalaγdabai: “This printing block was finished on an auspicious day in the last month of spring 1870, and was installed in the hall next to the Gülüng Naγur monastery.”1 The xyl. of the Ernst collection thus stems from Buryatia.2
